Sloane’s Champions Spotlight Night & Frog Monitoring Experience

  • Corowa Men's Shed (map)

It’s time for the annual Sloane’s Champions Spotlight Night!

Focused on the threatened Sloane’s Froglet (Crinia sloanei) and its conservation in our region, join Corowa District Landcare and NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water’s Dave Hunter (Senior Threatened Species Officer) for this informative evening and spotlight walk around the Whitehead Street Wetland.

Session 1 – Community Session

(6:00pm to 8:30pm)

A relaxed, family-friendly session. Begin your evening with a light dinner and learn about the Sloane’s Froglet and other local frog species.

Be introduced to the Sloane’s Champions citizen science project and learn how to use the FrogID app to record frog calls.

The session concludes with a guided spotlight walk around the Whitehead Street Wetland to look for frogs.

This session is held indoors and on accessible concrete paths around the wetlands.
